The Problem
The Process
The process started from the Discover phase by conducting background and market research and interviewing patients, we then moved onto the Define phase when we started brainstorming. When more interviews were needed, we went back to the Discover phase with our design methods, before advancing to the Develop phase where the prototyping took place. Finally, in the Deliver phase, we created our business model canvas.
The Design
Results
Iterative Prototyping was conducted to ensure that concepts are refined as we align the products with the target user population’s needs. Throughout the journey the learning curve was aligned with hands-on experience as we built our skills in sketching, prototyping and designing assistive aids. We designed four different products to aid hand tremor patients in eating and drinking and we have Industrial Designs pending on all of our products.
Cup: special cup to counteract tremors when drinking.
Cup Holder: fits mosts cups and makes drinking easier for hand tremor patients.
Universal Lid: to transform any cup into a tremor cancelling cup.
Bowl: to make transportation of foods spill free for hand tremor patients.
